Iron-Southport match postponed

Braintree's home match against Southport (in the Blue Square Premier) has been called off due to a waterlogged pitch.

The Iron were set to take on the Sandgrounders but the referee was forced to postpone the game following the poor weather in Essex. The decision was made yesterday lunchtime prior to the Southport coaches leaving.

Braintree's next game is a Tuesday night home match to Grimsby.
