Braintree boss Alan Devonshire continues to work on his squad for the forthcoming 2013/2014 season, making two more signings on Thursday evening.

Captain and midfielder Kenny Davis has added a one year extension to his contract. He will be joined at the Amlin Stadium next season by striker Jordan Cox.

The Braintree Manager was pleased with his latest work: "We all know how important Kenny has been to our side over the past couple of years and his regular inclusion in the England squad acknowledges his undoubted quality as a player.

"Kenny has kept me up to date over the past few weeks and has spoken with a couple of other clubs, but he's a shrewd lad and has decided his future's with us - I'm delighted!"

"Jordan spent a lot of time at Aveley last season and also played a few games for us. He's impressed me when I've seen him play and continues to make real progress. I now think he's ready to push on for a regular place in our side - it will be great for us to have more competition."
