Capital One Cup draw set for 9am

Our Football League clubs Ipswich, Colchester and Southend will find out who they are set to play in the first round of the Football League Cup, the Capital One cup.

The draw for the opening round is set for 9am this morning with fixtures released on the clubs' websites. The first round draw is seeded based on the final league positions of teams from the 2012/13 season, and then split regionally - north and south. Relegated teams  from last season's Premier League join different rounds in the draw depending on their final position. QPR (20th) will join the Round 1 draw, with Reading (19th) joining the Round 2 draw, with Wigan in Round 3.

The draw for the first round of the cup comes two days before the official fixtures for the upcoming season are released (Wed 19th, 9am).

Here are the seeded numbers for our clubs in the draw. Full seeding numbers can be found here.
8- Ipswich (south, seeded)
21- Colchester (south, unseeded)
