Cousins signs new U's deal

Mark Cousins is staying at the U's, after penning a new deal.

The Essex born shot stopper made his debut in 2007, and has made seventy appearances for the six managers he has played under. Current boss Joe Dunne offered Mark a new contract at the end of the season and it has now been signed.

Dunne said: "I'm really pleased we've got Mark signed up, I've known him a long time and he is an honest, hard working and talented keeper. "It's vital we have players like that around because their work ethic rubs off on others."
And Cousins is also happy that he will be continuing his career in north Essex. He added: "It has taken a bit of time to assess things but I'm pleased that I've signed and I'm really looking forward to being back in with the lads and to the new season."
