Phil Brown has completed his first signing as manager of Southend United, with the arrival of defender John White on a two-year deal starting on July 1st.
The 26-year-old right-back enjoyed a six-game loan spell with Blues during the 2009-10 season. He joins the Club following the expiration of his contract with Essex rivals Colchester United.
John spent nine years at Colchester having come through the youth ranks at the club, and made 255 appearances in total for the U’s.
