Bramble won't join while Berra signs - Ipswich

According to our sources, we have learnt that Titus Bramble will not be making a return signing at Ipswich.

The 31-year-old has been on trial with Town throughout pre-season.

McCarthy claims he has no intention to sign Bramble after signing Berra.

"He's great, but we've signed Christophe Berra so Titus won't be joining us. He's welcome to train and stay with us. He's added to the training. He's been good around the place, but he won't be signing because we've signed Christophe."

Meanwhile, Ipswich have confirmed former Wolves central defender Christophe Berra has joined on a two-year deal. We understand that he put pen to paper on his contract on Friday.

McCarthy confirmed that after a couple of weeks of speculation the deal was done: “We’ve signed him. I’m delighted with that one it’s a fantastic signing. He helped get us promoted at Wolves and helped keep us in the league for two seasons and I’m amazed actually that it’s gone so long and he hasn’t got a club. I’m delighted, it’s terrific for us.”
