Braintree Town responded to criticism over their under par performance at Leiston on Saturday with a much-improved display at Histon.Boss Alan Devonshire had been disappointed with how his team played against Leiston but they were winners at Histon with goals from Holman and Wells, securing a 2-1 win. Histon scored a consultation goal, scoring late on.
Braintree's final game of their pre-season campaign is due to come at Ryman League premier division side Lowestoft on Saturday ahead of the start of the Skrill Premier season on August 10.
