The deal will see Southend United's radio coverage
continue until the end of the 2014-15 season
Southend Utd have agreed a new two-year deal with BBC Essex for radio broadcasting rights.

The two-year deal will see the BBC continue their coverage of all Blues matches home and away in all competitions.

Southend’s Chief Executive Steve Kavanagh said: “The BBC’s coverage has been excellent in recent seasons and it was the same again last year. We’re pleased to have agreed this new two-year deal that will see them cover every game, home and away, for the next two seasons.”

BBC Essex’s Managing Editor Gerald Main said: “It’s great news for BBC Essex and for Blues fans. Home and away, wherever the match, whatever the day, we’ll be there. If you can’t get to the match it’s the next best thing.
