Chelmsford boss Dean Holdsworth has admitted how they need to improve their performance following a 2-2 draw against Concord Rangers on Monday.
Boss Holdsworth said: “We’ve got probably four or five players in that dressing room who have performed much, much better over pre-season.
We were never going to get our own way against a local rival and in one respect we’ve got to be pleased with a point and in one respect we’re disappointed that we haven’t performed as we can do. There’s lots to improve on.”
"It’s a wake-up call for everybody,” he added. “We’ll do what’s right, we’ll look at it in training.
“The players needed this game to start the season, we were disappointed on Saturday with the shenanigans that have gone on down at Farnborough, but it’s good to get this game out of the way and I’ve got to be pleased with some things and disappointed with other things.”
