Matchday preview - 19.10.2013

Ipswich Town return to action this weekend following the international break as they take on league-leaders Burnley. The Lancashire side travel to Portman Road, having only lost once in all competitions since the new season.

Ipswich manager Mick McCarthy has kept faith with an unchanged side for Town's previous four matches and must decide whether to stick with the same XI. NcCarthy has no new injury or suspension problems.

Burnley strikers Danny Ings (knock) and Sam Vokes are both expected to be fit for their trip to Portman Road. Manager Sean Dyche has welcomed the international break and the rest period has allowed full-back Kieran Trippier to recover from a knock.


In League One, Colchester travel to Brentford with the Bees' not winning in three matches. Brentford striker Will Grigg returns from international duty and boss Uwe Rosler has bolstered his squad with the loan signing of winger Kadeem Harris.

On-loan defender Matt Taylor plays his final game for Colchester before returning to parent club Bradford City while Josh Thompson (ankle) is out for three months, and Ryan Dickson needs another week of training before being ready

In non-league, Braintree host Chester while Chelmford host Eastbourne.

After Suffolk Premier Cup, FA Cup and League Cup action in the past three games, AFC Sudbury take on Ryman South side Crawley Down Gatwick in the First Qualifying Round of the Trophy.

Manager David Batch is hopefully of having a couple of his missing players back and available for selection. James Baker, Ross Watson and Michael Shinn could all figure at some point in the tie. With Josh Carus unavailable due to work commitments a change will be needed in the left back position.
