Scott Mitchell has signed a permanent move to AFC Sudbury after completing a loan deal from Lowestoft Town this week.
Following victory in the FA Trophy at the weekend, the defender chose to sign a permanent deal that keeps him at the club with a two year contract.
General Manager of Football Mick Pearce told AFC: "I am delighted to confirm that following our victory against Hastings United in the FA Trophy Saturday, Scott Mitchell agreed and signed a new two year contract with the club to progress his temporary loan from Lowestoft Town into a permanent move to AFC Sudbury.
"The Board and Supporters of the club are delighted we have been able to secure his long term commitment to the club.
"I would also like to thank Gary Keyzor, Chairman Lowestoft Town with regard to his dealings with us since August, he has been first class."
Manager David Batch supported Mitchell's signing: “Scott has performed brilliantly since his arrival on loan, so I am delighted that the club have completed the full transfer before the temporary deal ended.
"His attitude is first class. He is someone who really cares about his football and thinks about his performances, but his versatility is unbelievable, displaying excellent performances wherever he is asked to play.”
