Ipswich boss Mick McCarthy says he expects on-loan Manchester United midfielder Ryan Tunnicliffe to stay with the Blues for the rest of the season.
McCarthy says he has talked to Red Devils boss David Moyes about the 20-year-old and unless anything unforeseen happens, he will extend his stay at Portman Road beyond the end of his current spell, which is up on New Year's Eve.
“David and myself have spoken and unless they desperately need him then we’ll make that happen and he’ll stay with us," he said. "I’m hoping that will be the case.”
Moyes was interested in bringing Tunnicliffe, and other players out on loan, back to Old Trafford.
