Ipswich: Hyam out for two weeks

Hyam: Out for two weeks
Ipswich midfielder Luke Hyam will be out of action for at least two weeks with a deep cut below his right knee.

The midfielder picked up the injury during the opening period of Town's 1-0 defeat at Millwall on Saturday.

“The hospital washed out the cut, which is just below the knee, and then stitched up the wound," said Town physio Matt Byard.

"It's a deep cut and there is some heavy bruising around the area as well. He’s on crutches and we have to be careful that the knee doesn’t get infected.

Hyam was stretchered off during the match, after several
medical officers assisted the Town player.
"If all goes well, you are looking at around two weeks before he can get out on the training ground again.”

Town are next in action when they host Reading on Saturday, at Portman Road (k/o 3pm).
