Cowley signs for Needham from AFC

July 2012.
AFC Sudbury have announced that they have agreed a fee with Needham Market for the transfer of Dave Cowley.

Sudbury boss David Batch wished him the best for his time at Needham: “I would like to thank Dave for his efforts and wish him all the best at his new club.

"Starting opportunities have been limited for Dave, so the offer we received from Needham was one we would have been silly not to take.

"We brought in James Akintunde on loan before Dave moved on so that we remained strong and weren’t left looking for a winger. James had a couple of assists in the game against Harlow Town and scored in his second game in the recent friendly when we played Haverhill Rovers. I think his pace and trickery will add something to our group”.

Cowley originally signed for AFC in July 2012 from Harlow Town and has played since, making 75 appearances at the club, and scoring 8 goals.
