Ipswich have extended the loan of Johnny Williams from Crystal Palace until the end of the season.

The Welsh midfielder has become a favourite, among supporters of the club and saw his original loan expire after Saturday’s draw with Nottingham Forest.

However the midfielder will now remain with the Blues until the end of the term, although the Eagles do have the option to recall Jonny at 24 hours notice.

Jonny has so far made six appearances for Mick McCarthy’s side, and scoring in Town's 2-1 win over Derby last week.

The loan could be extended for a second-time up to 93 days, providing Palace don’t recall the midfielder, to ensure the midfielder is available for the Championship Play-Offs should Town finish in the top six.
