AFC youngsters feature in county cup final defeat

AFC Sudbury youngsters Scott Kemp and James Crisell featured for a Suffolk FA under 18s side as they lost 2-1 AET to Lancashire's counterparts in the FA County Youth Cup.

Tyler Kemp was originally called up but did not make the final 16 named in the squad, and instead, played for AFC Sudbury that day.

Substitute Cory Bent fired home three minutes from time to secure victory for the visitors at Portman Road.

Suffolk took a fifth-minute lead through Harrison Ford, but Lancashire hit back to equalise via Jack Williams on the half-hour.

Joel Khambay put the visitors ahead prior to half-time before Suffolk substitute Sam Thrower equalised.

Scott Kemp and James Crisell both had chances for the Suffolk side but could not convert past Lancashire's goalkeeper Marcus Burgess.

James Crisell was a regular for the AFC Sudbury Reserves throughout the season, and went on to earn several first teams appearances over the past few months, while Scott Kemp, also made a breakthrough to the AFC first team after joining the Reserves this year.
