Southend will being their promotion push as they visit Burton Albion in the first leg of their play-off semi-final fixture.
Last Saturday saw the Shrimpers beat Burton in the 'dress-rehearsal' for the first leg on Sunday, after winning 1-0 at Roots Hall.
The league fixture at the Pirelli Stadium in October last year also saw the Blues win by the one-goal advantage.
The Brewers were knocked out of the play-offs to Bradford City in last season's play-off games and will hope to go further this time round. The Shrimpers, under the management of Paul Sturrock, lost in the semi-finals two years ago, and will hope to progress through to Wembley
TEAM NEWS:
Phil Brown confirmed on Friday that Adam Thompson and Julian Bennett will be the only players absent for the Essex side.
Meanwhile, Jimmy Phillips and Damien McCrory will be missing for the Brewers.
STATS/FORM GUIDE:
Southend's only lost one game in their final ten fixtures (1-0L v Wimbledon), with Burton losing four out of their last ten.
Phil Brown's side have not conceded in their previous five games, and will hope to keep this run up.
OTHER PLAY-OFF FIXTURE:
Fleetwood's game at York City in the other Sky Bet League Two was postponed on Saturday evening due to a waterloggged pitch. The match will be replayed on Monday 12th May at 7:45pm.
