Error: Norwich City published that they will face Sudbury Town, who dissolved 15 years ago. |
The article on the club's website suggest that 'they will then take on Sudbury Town'.
The fixture in the schedule list claims the two sides will meet at the Priory Stadium, which was the home of Sudbury Town, a ground which was sold and demolished by AFC Sudbury. A housing estate now occupies the area.
Sudbury Town, dissolved in 1999, and merged with town rivals Sudbury Wanderers to form AFC Sudbury.
The article on Norwich City's official club website had to be previously edited earlier this week, but was not fully adjusted.
Tony Simpson, from AFC Sudbury, emailed Norwich City to contact them after the first incident, feeling it was a 'complete disgrace on their part'.
Louis Byers, from FANbase, said "This is a silly incident which embarrasses Norwich.
"I would think that Norwich would immediately alter it, even other they were contacted.
"However, it will be a good game which hopefully will be a good test for AFC."
