Braintree clash at Peterborough reschedule

Braintree Town's pre-season friendly at Peterborough Northern Star has been rearranged, which will be played in memorial of a Star supporter.

Peterborough Northern Star FC.pngSupporter Jimmy Owen died last year, and his family are a friend to Braintree manager Alan Devonshire, and therefore will bring a first team squad to the Mick George Arena.

The Iron will face the United Counties League side on Tuesday 5th August, with 7.45pm kick-off.

The match was originally called off earlier in July due to a fixture clash which postponed the match.

Admission will be charged at £2.

Northern Star were champions of the United Counties First Division in 2009, were runners-up of the same division a season later, and are jointly managed by Darren Jarvis and Mike Goode.
