Braintree Town striker Dan Holman has put pen to paper on a two-year-contract at Colchester United.
The striker spent the previous two seasons at the Amlin Stadium club in the Skrill Premier, but now makes a move to football at League level.
The 24-year-old came to the end to his contract during the summer, declining a new offer with the Iron.
"Dan is a player we have watched on many occasions over the past two seasons and we’re delighted we were able to bring him in," Joe Dunne told the club website.
"He gives us another option in the forward areas of the pitch and has the ability to create and score goals for us."
Holman has also spent time training at Southend United during the summer.
