Ipswich cruised to a 2-0 victory over Gillingham, courtesy of goals from summer signing Alex Henshall and midfielder Luke Hyam.

Ipswich took the lead after the opening minute, when Stewart's cross from the right wing met Henshall who fired at the back post.

And Town doubled their lead in the second half, as Bajner crossed towards the near post where the ball met midfielder Luke Hyam, who headed in.

Minutes later, the Tractor Boys felt they should have been three goals to the good when Marriott tapped the ball home after Bajner's header hit the crossbar, but the play was marked offside.

The Blues have yet to concede a goal during this pre-season, scoring nine goals.

Colchester completed a stunning comeback as they came from 2-1 down to beat Dagenham and Redbridge 4-1 at Victoria Road.

The U's took a 6 minute lead as an effort from Craig Eastmond was deflected towards Bonne who slotted past the Daggers goalkeeper, but Agogo powerfully headed home from a corner to level for the hosts.

But Colchester found themselves trailing at the interval when Chambers' cross mett Hemmings who fired past Lewington.

The Daggers were 3-1 up after 60 minutes as Chambers, who frequently threatened United's goal, thumped the ball past the U's keeper.

Colchester reduced the deposit as Vose whipped a free-kick in the top right corner before he let out an 35-yard strike that put the U's level.

A minute later, they were ahead as Ibehre tapped the ball home to complete the comeback.

Tom Elliott's brace helped Cambridge United come from behind to beat Braintree 2-1 at the Amlin Stadium.

Braintree took the lead as Kenny Davies converted a three minute penalty, after Iron's David Louhongou was fouled by Liam Hughes in the area.

But two minutes later the U's equalised through Tom Elliott's chip over Iron goalkeeper Hamann.

Ahead of the half-time interval, Michael Bakare's goal-bound strike was tipped away by United goalkeeper.

But the visitors took the lead through Tom Elliott headed home Ryan Donaldson's cross.

A first-half hat-trick from Sam Newson sent Chelmsford to their first defeat of pre-season this year, against Needham Market

Two goals in two minutes from Newson in the first half put the home side into an unexpected lead.

Michael Cheek pulled a goal back for City, but Newson’s hat-trick prior to the half-time break ended Chelmsford's unbeaten run during pre-season.

Glentoran 3-2 AFC Sudbury

AFC Sudbury flew to their second consecutive defeat, as they lost 3-2 to Belfast side Glentoran FC.

The Yellows made the long overseas trip to Northern Ireland where they travelled to Glentoran, based in Belfast for this friendly.

The hosts had a penalty early on after Henshaw fouled a Glentoran player. Jordan Steward converted the penalty, to the right of diving goalkeeper Alex Archer, who was unable to reach the ball.

Jordan Steward doubled Glentoran's lead, before James Baker volleyed home Flynn's corner to pull AFC back into the match, but Danny McGee extended the home side's lead ahead of half-time.

Substitute Jordan Blackwell scored for David Batch's side late on but they were unable to score late on in the second-half.
