Ipswich Town won their first game of the new season, as they beat recently relegated side Fulham 2-1.
Ipswich, who began their thirteenth consecutive second-tier season, took a first half lead as Hyam's pass met Daryl Murphy, who fired past visiting keeper Joronen.
And Town extended their lead 15 minutes into the second half as David McGoldrick fired into a partly empty net after poor defending from the Cottagers.
Tim Hoogland's pulled a consolation goal back for Fulham late on, but his deflected strike was not enough to clinch a draw for the visitors, with Town holding on for the win.
Fulham's £11m summer signing Ross McCormack, who joined from Leeds, had a poor game, and struggled to make chances for Felix Magath's side.

A second-half goal from summer signing George Moncur helped rescue a point as Colchester drew 2-2 with Oldham in their opening fixture.
U's skipper Okuonghae gave the hosts an early lead, with his strike in the seventh minute.
But a brace from Jon Forte gave the visitors the lead with goals in the 18th minute and the 40th minute.
But George Moncur, who joined the Essex club earlier this week, levelled the U's, as he fired home from the rebound effort from Sears' original shot.

Lee Barnard's 85th minute penalty helped Southend beat Accrington Stanley, in their opening League Two fixture.
The Blues, who produced seven shots on target, and hosts Accrington, were both on course to earn a draw, before Winnard fouled Barnard in the area, to see the referee award a penalty.
Barnard converted the penalty with a right-footed low effort, to give the points to the visitors.
It was the second penalty of the game, after Coulthirst was brought down, only to see Corr shoot straight at the Stanley keeper, Simpson.

The only goal of the game, for the Silkmen, saw Holroyd slotted home past Hamann, from Pilkington's cross.
The Iron came close to equalising at the end of the first half, when a corner from the right was put back across by Matt Paine, and a shot was cleared off the line by Barrow.

AFC Sudbury began their Ryman North season as they thrashed relegated side Cray Wanderers by 5 goals to 1.
Hughes was brought down in the 20th minute in the area, to see the ref award a penalty, and send off Springett. Reed smashed home the penalty into the top of the net, giving Cray keeper Taylor no chance.
Fifteen minutes later, the visitors doubled their lead as Reed broke the offside trip to see Clarke fire home from 20 yards out.
After the interval, Swatman gave AFC a three-goal advantage as Shinn's cross met the striker, who headed home calmly, before Michael Shinn struck home Reed's rebound effort for 4-0.
Shinn scored a second goal, as he curved a free-kick home from the edge of the box, before Cray Wanderers scored a consolation goal late on.
