AFC Sudbury Reserves v Long Melford (League Cup)
AFC Sudbury Reserves continue their break from the Thurlow Nunn League, as they host Long Melford in the Thurlow Nunn League Cup.The side won 5-2 at Woodbridge Town in the First Round of the Knock-out First Division cup last Wednesday, but lost 2-0 to Bramford United in the Suffolk Senior Cup on Saturday.
Sudbury's opponents tonight, Long Melford, go into tonight's match on the back of a 3-0 defeat against Lakenheath in the Suffolk Senior Cup at the weekend.
Former AFC players who are now at Long Melford include Steve Adams, Jake Jackson, Cobi Guyon, Steve Chisholm, Andy Fisher, and Shane Barnes; most of the players listed featuring for the club last season.
The two sides have frequently met, with the last two meetings ending 3-0 to the Villagers (October 2014 and March 2014).
The next match for AFC Sudbury Reserves will be on Saturday when they host Downham Town in the Thurlow Nunn First Division.
Elsewhere, AFC Sudbury lost 3-1 to Cheshunt in the Ryman North yesterday, with Sudbury's goal coming from an own goal.
