David Batch leaves AFC Sudbury post

It has been announced, this morning, that David Batch has left AFC Sudbury, and will be joining Southern League Premier side St Neots Town.

David Batch has taken the vacant role at the Cambridgeshire side, after the resignation of Gary King earlier this month.

Coach Steve Eastaugh, and goalkeeping coach Darren Plowman have also both left the Brundon Lane club, to take up roles at Rowley Park.

Reserve team coach Danny Laws will temporarily take charge of the first-team squad.

A statement on the club website from club chairman Philip Turner read: "It is with regret that I have to announce that the Board has accepted the resignations of David Batch, Steve Eastaugh and Darren Plowman who will be leaving the Club with immediate effect to join St Neots Town FC."

AFC travel to Needham Market on New Year's Day (Thursday, 3pm, in their first fixture of the new year.
