AFC Sudbury 0-1 Brightlingsea Regent
Ryman North - Att: 289
A late 88th minute strike from Oliver Canfer helped Brightlingsea Regent, as they left it late to snatch a win over AFC Sudbury.
Ben Robinson saw a 40-yard strike blocked by R's goalkeeper Andrew Plummer in the first half, while Kris Newby fired his free-kicks in the 25th and 62nd minutes over the crossbar.
Amur Berkaine had a shot in the closing stages of the match blocked by Marcus Garnham at the near post.
But Canfer fired a shot home from close range in the 88th minute, finishing easily past the AFC shot-stopper.
AFC, who remain 7th on goal-difference, take on Suffolk rivals Needham Market in their next fixture, on New Years Day (3pm), at Bloomfields. Regent are up to 10th in the table after their win but Saturday's results could alter the table.
