PREVIEW: AFC Sudbury Reserves v Haverhill Borough (First Division Cup KO Semi-Final)

AFC Sudbury will look to progress through to the final of the Thurlow Nunn First Division Knock-Out cup, as they host Haverhill Borough, in the semi-final on Tuesday (7.45pm kick-off, Twitter updates from 7pm), at the Wardale-Williams Stadium.

The Yellows beat Cornard 10-2, Woodbridge 5-2 and Braintree 5-1, to reach this stage - scoring a record 20 goals.

On Tuesday evening, the young Sudbury side, under Danny Laws, Dave Cannon and Craig Power, will be up against division rivals Haverhill Borough, who play at the New Croft.

Borough have only played two matches in this season's competition. They beat Long Melford 4-2 on penalties, after a 0-0 draw (h), and beat Saffron Walden 2-0 (a).

AFC's last match was ten days ago, when they lost 3-1 away to Cambridgeshire based March Town United.

AFC Reserves have met Haverhill Borough in the two league encounters this season - Haverhill won 2-1 (at Sudbury) and 3-0 (at Haverhill).

Haverhill Borough's last league fixture, was on Saturday, when they beat Debenham LC 3-0.

The winners of the match will face Great Yarmouth Town, in this year's First Divsion KO Cup Final on Friday 1st May. Yarmouth beat Halstead 3-2, courtesy of a Connor Deeks' hat-trick - despite a late Halstead comeback. A 'neutral' ground has yet to be decided for this year's final.
