THE MATCH HAS PASSED AN 8.30AM PITCH INSPECTION. FANS ARE NEEDED TO SAND THE PITCH AT 10AM (BRING SHOVELS TO THE GROUND).
AFC Sudbury will look to retain their play-off position on Saturday, as they host Essex side Romford, at the Wardale-Williams Stadium (3pm).
The Yellows currently sit in third position, despite having their midweek fixture at Thamesmead postponed (waterlogged pitch, rescheduled for 17th March), and will look to keep up the pace on their promotion rivals.
AFC's opponents Romford, currently sit in 22nd position and, have been without a match since February 11th, when they lost 2-0 to Maldon & Tiptree, to slip into the relegation zone. 'The Boro' have had mixed results this season, and have only recorded one win since December.
Under the management of Paul Martin, Romford play in a blue and yellow striped kit, with their alternate kit sporting red and blue stripes.
Sudbury were last in action last Saturday, when they won 3-1 away at struggling Burnham Ramblers. A brace from Ollie Berquez, plus a solo goal from substitute Terry Rymer confirmed the win for the visitors.
The team will be without several key first team players, following recent bookings and dismissals, so many of the youth players could play a vital role in the fixture, if selected by Jamie Godbold.
James Baker (pictured, vs Aveley), Sam Clarke, Kris Newby and Ryan Henshaw will all be missing today's match for the Yellows.
The Conference match between Nuneaton Town v Kidderminster Harriers will be shown live in the clubhouse before kick-off. Get a seat in the clubhouse, and have some drinks before kick-off.
The AFC Bus will be running today, details here.
The Sudbury Reserves are without a fixture this weekend, but return to action on Tuesday evening, as they host Haverhill Borough in the Thurlow Nunn First Division cup semi-final fixture.
With bad weather in the forecast, postponements are expected at non-league games across the country. I will post updates if any games in the league are postponed.
