Ipswich Town have signed four players on deadline day of the Football League's Emergency Loan Transfer Window.
On what was expected to be a quiet day for the Championship side, Ipswich extended the deals of two current loan players, as well as bringing in two players, while a player exited the club.
As It Happened:
This morning, it was announced that Luke Varney and Richard Chaplow had extended their deals, to allow them to remain at Portman Road until the end of the season.
During this afternoon, Town signed defender Zeki Fryers on loan from Crystal Palace until the end of the season.
The former Man Utd youth player has played at Rotherham since January, but recently returned to Selhurst Park.
Minutes later, it was announced that they had re-signed midfielder Jonny Williams, also from Palace, with the loan lasting until the end of the season.
Williams has featured for the Blues on numerous occasions within the past 12 months, and became a fan's favourite throughout his spells. Wolves were another party interested in the midfielder.
By the evening, it was announced that Paul Taylor, who was on loan to Rotherham Utd, has signed for Blackburn Rovers, on a loan deal.
Earlier this week, Vanarama Conference side Woking announced that they signed Town keeper Michael Crowe on loan until the end of the season.
Elsewhere, Southend re-called Jack Bridge and Jason Williams from loan deals at Chelmsford City and Welling United, respectively.
Colchester have bolstered their ranks with the arrival of Rotherham full back Richard Brindley, until the end of the season.
