PREVIEW: AFC Sudbury v Barkingside (Ryman North, 3pm)

The first of our FANbase double header this weekend comes to us from the Wardale-Williams Stadium, where AFC Sudbury take on relegation-threatened Barkingside, in the Ryman North (k/o 3pm).

AFC will be looking to bounce back from their 3-1 defeat at Dereham Town last Saturday, which cost them points in their promotion push. Despite this result, the Yellows remain third.

They will be up against visitors Barkingside, who lost 2-1 at home to Brightlingsea in their last match - but were 2-0 winners over Aveley, just two days earlier.

Sudbury boss Jamie Godbold has a full squad to pick from for today's match. However, midweek signing Scott Mitchell, who rejoined AFC from Leiston, will miss today's match, having been sent off for Leiston recently.

The Side’ have brought in four new players over the past week, as they look to avoid relegation, which could see them drop down to the Essex Senior League.

Striker Fahad Nyanja from Clapton, striker Isaac Aubynn from Burnham Ramblers, centre-back Glen Golby and Aundre Spencer from Heybridge, have all joined the Essex club in the past week, prior to the League's deadline day.

The Premier League game between Arsenal and Liverpool will be live on the club televisions, with the bar and kitchen also open prior to kick-off today. The AFC Supporters Club Bus sponsored by Wardale Williams will be running for this match, while fans can vote for their Player of The Year.

The AFC Reserves are in action on Easter Monday, when they entertain Halstead Town, in FANbase's second part of our double header this weekend; but they are without a match today.
