PREVIEW: AFC Sudbury Res v Halstead Town (Thurlow Nunn First Division)

Our second match of the Easter weekend will see AFC Sudbury Reserves take on Halstead Town in a local Thurlow Nunn First Division derby match (k/o 3pm).

The AFC side comfortably beat Team Bury 1-0 last Wednesday evening, and begin the run in to the end of the season. AFC have won 2, lost 2 and drawn once in their last five outings.

They will take on a Halstead Town side, who drew 1-1 at home to Debenham LC on Saturday. Halstead's previous five matches have seen them win one, lose two and draw twice.

Hosts AFC Sudbury Res currently sit in 14th, while the visitors sit 9th.

The two sides sat in the same positions, prior to their last meeting in December, which ended in a 1-1 draw, in a match which resulted in a sending off for both sides.

The Humbugs are currently managed by Mark Benterman, who was appointed as managed in January 2013. Halstead play in a black and white first choice kit, and play in a red and white 'changed' strip.

Halstead were awarded the league fair play award for January and February, by the Thurlow Nunn League, earlier this week

AFC's first team travel to Brightlingsea Regent, in the Ryman North (3pm KO).
