AFC Sudbury's regular awards evening was held in the clubhouse at the Wardale-Williams Stadium last night, with 18 trophies awarded to players, officials and supporters, to a crowd of over 100.
Chairman Phil Turner introduced the evening, evaluating the success of the first team, Reserves/U21s squad, under 18s squad and the Ladies team, and also confirmed that management duo Jamie Godbold and Andy Reynolds would be staying until 2017. The chairman also thanked the sponsors for their support.Groundsman Danny Crosbie spoke to the crowd, giving a few words on the upcoming 3G pitch, as well as the Special Award being awarded to John Smith for all his efforts towards the club.
Assistant manager Andy Reynolds thanks chairman Phil Turner for his new contract, and thanked the development teams for their efforts.
Danny Laws, coach of the Reserves, thanks the club for allowing him to manage the first team, following David Batch's departure, before presenting the youth players with several awards.
Reserves and Under 18s coach Craig Power thanked David Webb, Danny Crosbie and Richard Instance for their efforts over the season.
Ladies Manager Clive Golding thanked the club, Jemel Fox, and the Ladies team for their efforts. The team built on a disappointing start of the season, to finish runners up. It was also announced that Ladies captain Natalie Golding will retire, and thanks her family for their support.
