The Football League has announced that they have signed a deal with Channel 5 and ITN, to air a weekly highlights show.
The deal will begin from the 2015-16 season, and will continue for the next three seasons, in a prime time slot - at 9pm.
Channel 5 takes over as the broadcaster from the BBC, and will air a 90-minutes highlight show on Saturday evenings.
The deal will include highlights of the Capital One (Football League) Cup, and the Johnstone's Paint (Football League) Trophy.
ITN Productions has won the multimillion-pound contract to film and produce 1,813 games from the Championship, League One and League Two. They take over IMG's contract, and ITN's deal will allow them to produce content for Channel 5, international broadcast, and for domestic club usage (including for "Player").
