Ipswich Town are set to sign left-back Jonas Knudsen from Danish Superliga side Esbjerg fB.
A statement on the club website read that EfB sold the 22-year-old 'to a foreign club', and is in England for a medical on Friday.
The Danish defender was not included in EfB's squad for their Superliga match away at Viborg FF on Friday (kick-off 6pm local).
Knudsen made his club debut in 2010, at the age of 17, in the Superliga. He made 153 first team appearances for the Danish side, helping the side to a domestic cup win in 2013.
Quoted as being 'a physically strong player with great fighting heart', he made his debut for the Denmark national team in 2014, making two appearances on the international field.
Town have reportedly signed Knudsen for £250,000 - 350,000.
If the signing is completed today, he could make his debut for Town in their pre-season friendly at home to FC Utrecht, tomorrow (3pm).
