SUMMER signings Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Brett Pitman were on target, as Ipswich Town beat League Two side Cambridge United 3-2.
Maitland-Niles gave the Blues an early lead, after three minutes, before Pitman converted an effort after half-an-hour, to double Ipswich's advantage.
Former Southend striker Barry Corr pulled a goal back for the Ambers, ahead of the half-time interval.
Luke Berry equalised after ten minutes of the second half, as he curved home a free-kick, past Bialowski.
But David McGoldrick returned to the Ipswich side, and headed an effort home, after Maitland-Niles hit the bar, in the 62nd minute.

Former West Ham midfielder George Moncur scored the only goal of the game, as Colchester were victorious against a West Ham United development side.
George Moncur converted a free-kick past his former side, after 17 minutes, to give the Essex side victory.
The U's remained in control throughout the match, with West Ham lacking in chances. Szmodics hit the post for the hosts, while Alex Gilbey and Gavin Massey forced saves from visiting goalkeeper Raphel Spiegel.

Ryman Premier League side Brentwood Town came from behind, as they beat a youthful Southend side 2-1.
The Shrimpers took the lead after 18 minutes, as Brandon Scott struck past Norton, but Liam Hope scored for the hosts, four minutes later.
Town won the game in the 79th minute, as they won a penalty. Shad Ngandu stepped up, and converted the effort.

AFC Sudbury came from a goal down, to beat Thurlow Nunn Premier side Long Melford 3-1, in their latest pre-season outing.
Sam Bayliss put the Thurlow Nunn First Division champions ahead after 35 minutes, before Craig Parker levelled for the visitors.
Second-half goals from substitutes Stephano Mallardo and Wayne Blackman gave the Ryman North side the victory.
Sudbury are next in action when they travel to Kings Lynn Town, on Saturday 25th July (3pm, The Walks Stadium).

Michael Cheek scored a brace, as a strong Braintree Town side thrashed Heybridge Swifts 7-2, in a pre-season friendly.
Dan Sparks scored an early penalty, after 10 minutes, before Sim Akinola followed up minutes later.
Former Chelmsford man Michael Cheek scored his first of the evening, as he slotted home on 29', with Kenny Davis finishing before the interval.
Michael Cheek bagged his second, before trialist James McQuilkin and Anthony Edgar put the Iron 7-0 up.
Midfielders Shamido Pedulu and Joshua Fagbohun both pulled two goals back for the Ryman North side, in the closing 10 minutes.
