Former Stoke City striker James Alabi has signed a one-year deal with Ipswich Town, with the option of a second year.
The 20-year-old started his career as a youth player at Stoke City, but moved to Scottish side Celtic in 2011.
Alabi returned to the Britannia Stadium after a year in Scotland, but he was loaned out to Scunthorpe United, Mansfield Town, Forest Green Rovers and Accrington Stanley.
Alabi was released by the Staffordshire club this summer, and joins Ipswich on a free transfer, after featuring and scoring for the club's U21 games.
The London-born forward did not make any appearances for the Premier League club.
