Freddie Sears extends contract, Murphy and Didz in Ireland squad

Ipswich Town striker Freddie Sears has signed a new contract, keeping him at Portman Road until 2019.

Freddie Sears joined Town in January from League One side Colchester United, for an undisclosed fee.

He provided an assist in his Town debut, as a substitute away at Millwall.

He has scored ten goals in 25 appearances since joined from Essex.

Meanwhile, Town strikers Daryl Murphy and David McGoldrick have both received call-ups for the Republic of Ireland's 37-man squad to play Gibratar and Georgia.

The duo recently played in a friendly for their country, against England.
