Competition: Alan Turvey Ryman League Cup Preliminary Round
Kick-Off: 7:45pm
Location: Wardale-Williams Stadium, Sudbury
Sudbury will take on their Ryman North counterparts on Tuesday evening, in the Preliminary Round of the newly-named Alan Turvey League Cup, a tournament named after the former League chairman.
TEAM NEWS: Jamie Godbold is expected to name an alternate side, to the one that played during Saturday's 1-0 win on Saturday.
Craig Parker, Jordan Blackwell and Ollie Berquez could be 'doubtful' tonight while Luke Callander is away on work commitments.
Reserves players Wayne Blackman and James Axcell are expected to feature for the side tonight.
The 2014 finalists, Sudbury, reached the quarter final stages last season, beating Bury Town, Leiston and Witham Town, but were knocked out by Grays Athletic, then of the Premier Division.
Grays Athletic went on to lose 3-2 to Hendon, in last season's final. Sudbury have appeared in the final twice, when they lost 3-0 at Maidstone (2014) and 4-2 on penalties to Ramsgate following a 0-0 draw (2008, at Dartford).
The south Essex club only reached Round Two last season, when they lost 2-0 at home to Witham Town. Their opening round match saw them beat Burnham Ramblers 3-1.
The two sides have only met twice, last season, when the R's did the double over AFC (3-0 at North Road, 1-0 at Brundon Lane).
So far, the Yellows have won all three opening games, while Regent, who won their opening two games, lost 3-1 at home to Redbridge in their third match of the season on Saturday.
If scores are level after 90 minutes, a penalty shootout will be played. The winners of this tie will be away to Soham Town Rangers, in Round One (date/time TBA).
In the clubhouse, the television screens will be showing the UEFA Champions League clash between Manchester Utd and Club Brugge.
Tonight's other Preliminary Round tie sees Billericay Town host Aveley, while Barkingside lost heavily, losing 9-0 to Hornchurch on Monday.
