Town sign trio Douglas, Coke and Toure

Ipswich Town have signed Brentford midfielder Jonathon Douglas, French winger Larsen Toure and former Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Giles Coke, in the past few days.

Douglas joins Town from Championship rivals Brentford on a one-year deal for free.

The 33-year-old Irishman captained the Bees last season, and helped them to the Championship play-offs last season.

The midfielder has experience at international level for the Republic of Ireland, and ends a four-year stay at the London-based club.

A graduate from Blackburn Rovers' academy, he has played for Leeds United, Swindon Town, and has also featured for Chesterfield, Blackpool and Gillingham on loan-deals.

He could make his Town debut against his former side, and will wear shirt 22.

Town's two signings on Saturday, following the side's 1-1 draw with FC Utrecht, saw trialists Giles Coke and Larson Toure sign for the club, after impressing Mick McCarthy during pre-season.

Midfielder Coke joins Town after his release from Sheffield Wednesday this summer.

The 27-year-old, who started his career at non-league side Kingstonian FC, has previously played for Mansfield Town (non-league level), Northampton Town, Motherwell and Sheffield Wednesday.

London-born Coke has previously played for Bury, Swindon Town and Bolton Wanderers, in recent years.

He will wear the number 16 shirt whilst with the Blues.

Guinean international Toure will also join Town, after his release from French side Arles-Avignon earlier this summer.

Providing an attacking option, he has spent time at French sides Lille, Brest and Bulgarian side Levski Sofia, and joins his first English team.

The 31-year-old, who has Europa League experience, signs a one-year deal, and has the option of a further 12 months.
