Colchester United skipper Chris Porter has signed a two year contract at the Weston Homes club.
Porter joined the U's in January, after being released from Sheffield United, where he struggled to get first-team football.
The Wigan-born striker penned a new deal with the Essex side on Saturday, with his contract expiring in summer 2017.
Chris was chosen as captain by manager Tony Humes at the start of the current season, and has made 22 appearances since joining last winter.
