AFC Sudbury's Emirates FA Cup campaign continues this season, as they host Ryman Premier side Hendon, in the first qualifying round.
Date: Saturday 11th September, 2015Competition: Emirates FA Cup First Qualifying Round
Kick-Off: 3pm
Location: Wardale-Williams Stadium, Sudbury
Hendon were runners-up in the Ryman Premier Division last season, and look to provide a tricky test for Sudbury, who will look to cause an upset.
The Yellows beat Ware 4-0 in the Preliminary Round, a fortnight ago, while Hendon enter the competition at this stage.
The Greens won 4-2 away at East Thurrock United on Tuesday night, but lost 3-0 away at Canvey Island last Saturday. They currently stand 12th in the Ryman North.
The two sides previously met in an FA Trophy tie in 2010, when AFC ran out 5-1 winners (att. 289).
The winners of the tie will earn £3,000 in prize money. Any replay will be played on Monday at Hendon (who ground-share with Harrow Borough).
The Reserves are without a match today, while the Barclays Premier League tie between Everton and Chelsea will be on the televisions in the AFC clubhouse (kick-off 12:45pm).
Team News:
Manager Jamie Godbold will return to the dugouts, after spending time away on holiday.
Andy Reynolds stepped in for Godbold, and managed the Yellows to two league victories over Great Wakering Rovers and Soham Town Rangers.
Ollie Berquez is unlikely to feature for the hosts.
Hendon boss Gary McCann has signed former Ross County defender Ben Frempah and midfielder Aryan Tajbakhsh from Enfield Town during the week, and the duo could feature for the visitors.
