PREVIEW: AFC Sudbury Res vs Ely City

AFC Sudbury Reserves will look to build on their 8-1 thrashing of Needham Reserves, as they host Ely City, in the Thurlow Nunn League.

Date: Saturday 10th October 2015
Competition: Thurlow Nunn First Division

Charlie Gilbert scored twice in the first half, and a further three times in the second period, along with goals from Ross Henry, Ollie Peters and Bradley Beevis, last weekend, at the Wardale-Williams Stadium.

City exited the FA Vase last weekend, when they lost 2-1 at home to higher-league side Newmarket Town. September saw Ely pick up wins against Diss Town (2-1, home), Team Bury (3-0, away) and Haverhill Borough (1-0, home), but were heavily defeated 5-2 away at Great Yarmouth.

Charlie Gilbert remains top scorer for the AFC Reserves, and will look to continue his form. James Axcell and Wayne Blackman are expected to be away with the first team.
