Ipswich Town drew 0-0 at home to Cardiff City, with Town yet to win in seven league games. Both goalkeepers kept their sides in the match, while Murphy had the best effort of the match for the hosts.

Doncaster Rovers 2-0 Colchester Utd
Everton loanee Conor Grant, and Andy Williams were on target, as Colchester lost 2-0 away at Doncaster Rovers. George Moncur and Callum Harriott had the best chances for the U's, but they lost to Darren Ferguson, who picked up his first home win.

Southend Utd 2-2 Rochdale
Southend United surrendered a 2-0 lead at Roots Hall, as they drew 2-2 with Rochdale. David Mooney's penalty, and Ryan Leonard both scored in quick succession to give the Blues the lead prior to half time. Joe Bunney pulled a goal back, before Michael Rose equalised, to send the visitors home with a share of the points.

Braintree 1-0 Macclesfield Town
Braintree's fine form continued as they beat former League side Macclesfield Town 1-0. Former Colchester player Sammy Szmodics kicked off his Iron career with the goal in the 74th minute that separated the two sides.

AFC Sudbury 1-0 Hendon
AFC Sudbury progressed to the Second Qualifying Round of the FA Trophy, after they beat Hendon 1-0. Craig Parker struck well in the fourth minute of the first half to help the Yellows see off their Ryman Premier opponents. The second-qualifying round draw will take place on Monday.

AFC Sudbury Res 1-6 Wivenhoe Town
AFC Sudbury Reserves were defeated 6-1 at home to Thurlow Nunn League leaders Wivenhoe Town on Friday evening. A Turner hat-trick, Hampton and Goldie-McSorley strikes, and an own-goal sealed the victory for the Essex side, while Charlie Gilbert scored for the home side.
