Craig Parker clocked up his 19th and 20th goals of the season, as he helped Sudbury beat ten-man Witham 2-1 at Spa Road.
Witham took the lead after 13 minutes, when the ball rolled into the path of Lewis Francis who calmly finished past Garnham.
Sudbury won a penalty, when Lance Akins fouled an AFC player in the box. The Witham defender received a straight red card, before Craig Parker slotted home past Palmer.
Parker picked up his second of the afternoon, as he slotted the rebound effort home, after his original shot was blocked by Palmer.
The result sees Sudbury remain second, but are level on points with table-toppers Cray Wanderers, who lost 2-1 at Phoenix Sports. Next up, the Yellows host Bury Town in a local derby on Sat 2nd Jan.
