PREVIEW: AFC Sudbury vs Bury Town (West Suffolk derby) - Ryman North

Jamie Godbold has no injury concerns as his AFC Sudbury side face Bury Town in the West Suffolk/A134 derby on Saturday.

Location: Wardale-Williams Stadium, Sudbury
Date: Saturday 2nd January 2016
Kick-off: 3pm
Competition: Ryman League Division One North
Sponsors: Great Waldingfield Garages

Godbold will most likely select the same squad that beat Witham Town on Boxing Day (2-1 win), while visitors Bury have up to eight players out.

Blues skipper Phil Weavers (suspended), Justin Miller (work commitments), Sam Reed (knee) are all ruled out, while Bradley Barber (back), Noel Aitkens (hamstring), James Paterson (hip) and John Kennedy (rib fracture) are all doubtful.

Former AFC defender Darcy De'ath could feature for the visitors, however, as he looks to overcome a foot injury.

Liam Wales, Ross Bailey, Craig Parker, Marcus Garnham and Joe Maybanks could all feature for AFC, against their former side.

Sudbury go into the derby on the back of a club record of eight successive wins (at step 4 of non-league), as they look to sustain their 2nd place table position, while 8th placed Bury go into the match on the back of a winless December month (0 wins, 1 draw, 4 defeats).

The two sides will meet for the first competitive fixture since October 2010, when Bury Town ran out 5-3 winners at Brundon Lane, in the Suffolk Premier Cup.

Jamie Baker, Sam Clarke and Ryan Henshaw, who all played for AFC that day, remain as a player for Sudbury in 2016.

The reverse fixture will be played on Easter Monday - 28th March 2016, at Ram Meadow.

AFC Sudbury Reserves versus Leiston Reserves in the Thurlow Nunn First Division has been postponed.
