PREVIEW: AFC Sudbury Reserves vs Downham Town

AFC Sudbury Reserves will look to make it nine games unbeaten when they host struggling Downham Town, in the Thurlow Nunn League.

Location: Wardale-Williams Stadium, Sudbury
Date: Saturday 6th February 2016
Kick-off: 3pm
Competition: Thurlow Nunn First Division

Danny Laws' side came away from Stowmarket Town, last Saturday, with a goalless draw, to sustain a 5th placed league position; a week prior, Sudbury Res drew 0-0 with Kings Lynn Reserves.

The Yellows welcome Bob Warby's Downham Town to the Wardale Williams Stadium, who will look to bounce back from a miserable 3-2 defeat at home to Halstead Town.

The 17th-placed Norfolk side have only won one league game in their last nine- their only win coming at home to Cornard United, in mid-December.

Last season's meetings ended in a 4-0 home win for Sudbury, and a 3-1 win for Downham. This season's reverse fixture is scheduled for March 26th (3pm).

AFC's First Team travel to Thamesmead Town in the Ryman North with Callander looks to be the side's only absentee (kick-off 3pm / AFC bus departs 11.30am).
