PREVIEW: AFC Sudbury Res v Stowmarket (Thurlow Nunn League)

AFC Sudbury Reserves take on Stowmarket Town in the Thurlow Nunn League.

Location: Wardale-Williams Stadium, Sudbury
Date: Tuesday 15th March 2016
Kick-off: 19:45
Competition: Thurlow Nunn League First Division

Danny Laws' side go into Tuesday evening's game against their Suffolk opponents, after running out 1-0 winners away at Leiston Reserves at the weekend.

The reverse league meeting between the two sides saw the two sides take a goalless draw at Greens Meadow, in January.

The 'Stow', who sit 14th in the table, lost 2-1 at Ely City on Saturday, despite taking a 1-0 lead through Matt Dixon, prior to half-time.

The AFC side are having a highly successful season, sitting 6th in the league, but have a length 8 point gap from 5th place.

Stow have made it through to the final of the First Division Cup, where they will face Haverhill Borough (at Mildenhall Town, 6th May, 7.45pm).

Kyran Clements will be unavailable for AFC, after picking up an ankle injury in training, last week.

Former AFC player Matt Dixon could prove a threat to AFC as has picked up 23 goals for Stowmarket, this term; the team's top scorer.
