Colchester United have announced that they will face Ipswich Town, in one of three pre-season friendlies currently arranged by the U's.
The U's will welcome Ipswich Town for the annual friendly at the Weston Homes on Wednesday 20th July (7.45pm kick-off).
The U's will also make a trip to Maldon & Tiptree on Saturday 9th July, to begin their pre-season campaign (3pm).
The third match confirmed by the U's will see Chelmsford City host Colchester on Saturday 23rd July (3pm).
The club said that John McGreal's men will confirm further friendlies in the coming weeks.
