Colchester United have learned their opponents for the 2016/17 season, as they begin life in the fourth-tier for the first time in 19-years.
The U's begin the season as they face Hartlepool United, at Victoria Park in the opening weekend on Saturday 6th August.
Colchester will feature in the EFL Cup first round (w/c 8th August). The U's will return to league action where they face Cambridge United at home (13th Aug), Grimsby Town at home (16th Aug) and Portmouth away (20th Aug).
The Christmas schedule sees the U's face Notts County in Essex (17th Dec), Luton Town away on Boxing Day (26th Dec), before ending the the year against Stevenage (31st Dec).
The U's begin 2017 when they face promoted Cheltenham Town (2nd Jan), before taking on Carlisle United in the first two home games of 2017.
The Essex side will conclude the season on May 6th against Yeovil Town (home).
