Braintree Town's pre-season friendly with SkyBet League Two side Cambridge United has been postponed, following drainage issues on the pitch.
Cambridge were scheduled to visit the Avanti Stadium on Saturday 30th July, but the match has been called off.
The club said that both sides feel the pitch is unsuitable, and a possible replacement friendly for Saturday will be announced soon.
It is the fourth 'home' friendly that the Iron have postponed following poor weather which has caused the pitch to become unplayable. Drainage upgrade works were performed on the pitch during the summer.
Iron's first home league game is against Eastleigh, on August 9th, 2016.
