Braintree's friendly with Southend Utd was postponed following poor weather at the Avanti Stadium. Southend's next game is against West Ham Utd at Great Wakering Rovers on Sat 23rd.
However, the Iron played two matches over the three-day period with Stanway Rovers; Thursday's fixture ended in a 3-0 win for the Thurlow Nunn League side, while Saturday's quickly-arranged friendly saw Braintree run out 3-1 victors. Braintree are set to host Gillingham, subject to weather conditions, on Tue 19th.

Luke Callander gave the Yellows a half-time lead, before Ollie Canfer struck an equaliser for the hosts, just moments from the restart.
